FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS NEEDED
Beijing Pan Am International Aviation Academy
We are looking for flight instructors to work in China at one of our training bases for a 18-month contract. Great opportunity for young instructors. Also a great ADVENTURE for instructors at any stage of their career.
Minimum Qualifications for all full-time flight instructor positions:
- Possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane, and Multi-Engine Land Ratings. Licenses must be issued by an ICAO country that is politically recognized by China.
- Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single-engine rating.
- First Class Medical certificate. Ability to pass the First Class Chinese Medical Exam for pilots. This exam is more rigorous than the exam in many countries, particularly those given in the USA. Medical certificate must be issued from the same authority that issued the CPL and FI licenses.
All licenses and ratings must be current. Beijing PanAm may ask an instructor to renew licenses prior to arrival in China.
Positions Available
Please note additional qualifications required for higher level positions.
1. Flight Instructor I(a)
$24,000 USD per year salary ($1900 plus $100bonus per month).
Minimum qualifications as listed above and here.
Possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane, and Multi-Engine Land Ratings.
Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single-engine rating.
First Class Medical certificate.
Promotion to Flight Instructor I(b) and $100 USD per month salary increase after getting 100 hours of dual given in China.
$600 per month increase in monthly salary during a second contract (12 months) for the instructor who renew the first contract before Dec. 31 2008.
The bonus will be paid at the end of the contract
2. Flight Instructor I(b)
$25,200 USD per year salary ($2000 plus $100 bonus per month).
Requires minimum of 100 dual given hours in addition to minimum qualifications.
$600 per month increase in monthly salary during a second contract (12 months) before Dec. 31 2008.
Or instructor allowed up to 3 months unpaid leave to gain additional FI ratings. Company will pay airfare home at end of first contract. And then will reimburse airfare back to China. Upon return with all the instructor ratings, new contract will include a $700 USD increase in monthly salary before Dec. 31 2008.

3. Flight Instructor II(a)
$25,200 USD per year salary ($2000 plus $100 bonus per month).
Requires all flight instructor ratings but no flight instructor experience required.
Possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane, and Multi-Engine Land Ratings.
Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single-engine rating, instrument airplane rating, and multi-engine rating.
First Class Medical certificate.
Promotion to Flight Instructor II(b) and $100 USD per month salary increase after getting 100 hours of dual given in China.
4. Flight Instructor II(b)
$26,400 USD per year salary ($2100 plus $100 bonus per month)
Requires minimum of 100 dual given hours in addition to qualifications for FI II (a). All flight instructor ratings (single and multi engine rating, instrument rating) required.
$700 per month increase in monthly salary during a second contract (12 months) for the instructor who renew the first contract before Dec. 31 2008.
5. Flight Instructor III (Senior Flight Instructor)
All the CFI ratings required plus 2000 hours logged minimum.
$30,000 USD per year salary ($2400 plus $100 bonus per month). Additional duty assignments required.
Limited number of Senior Flight Instructor positions available.
$700 per month increase in monthly salary during a second contract (12 months) for the instructors who renew the first contract before Dec. 31 2008.
