Q:What does CAAC approval mean?
A:

PanAm Aviation is CAAC Approved, meeting both CCAR (China Civil Aviation Regulations) Part 141 and CCAR Part 91 requirements. CCAR Part 141 refers to the set of rules and regulations that govern flight schools, in addition to the Part 91 covers operation and flight rules.
As a Part 141 and Part 91 qualified academy, Panam Aviation meets the strictest government regulations covering pilot training: an approved flight training syllabus for each course, instructor standardization, supervision and stage checks by the Chief or Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, and regular CAAC inspections of school facilities, aircraft, simulators and training devices, as well as student training records, and instructor records.

 
Q:Can previous training be credited?
A:

If you transfer from a CAAC approved school to our Academy, course credits obtained in the previous course of training may be credited in all or part by the Academy. The Academy will determine the amount of credits by flight check and/or written test.
The amount of credit for previous training will be placed in your enrollment record at the time of enrollment.

 
Q:How long is the ab initio commercial pilot training?
A:

14 months.

 
Q:How much will it cost?
A:

Totally £¤580,000£¨RMB£©for the ab initio commercial pilot training, with textbooks &manuals, uniforms, accommodation, routine medical check & care, and insurance all included.

 
Q: What contract do I need to sign before beginning training?
A:

Before beginning training, each student is provided with a written enrollment agreement. This agreement specifies the selected training course or course combination package, method of payment, and the terms and conditions of enrollment such as scheduling, cancellations and termination, course guarantees, free housing, insurance coverage, school and student liability.

 
Q:Is there any way to enhance my English ability?
A:

If you are not from an English-speaking country and have concerns regarding your English ability, you can attend our English intensive training school before training at the academy. However, English ability is necessary for the successful completion of our training courses, for English is the teaching language and all the instructors speak English.

 
Q:What will my training be like?
A:

The ab initio commercial training goes through the following steps:
Private Pilot ¡úInstrument Rating¡ú Commercial Pilot with Multi-Engine Land Rating ¡úHigh Performance Qualification
Each step contains a separate flight training section and a ground training section that will be taught concurrently. After the two sections, you must pass the written tests, flight tests, to win respective certificate.

 
Q:How about the Ground School?
A:

Our Ground School courses use the Jeppesen training system. The system is an integrated course of flight and ground instruction utilizing a training syllabus, video and CD ROM presentations, textbook and workbook, maneuvers manual, written stage exams, training syllabus, and briefings and tutorials with your instructor.

 
Q:What flight experience can I gain from the whole training?
A:

The ab initio commercial pilot training at our academy will gain you a total of 270 flight hours. At least 250 hours of flight time is needed to apply for a commercial pilot certificate in China.

 
Q:When am I qualified for graduation?
A:

You are considered to have graduated upon completion of all certificates, ratings, flight hours, and ground school hours described in your Enrollment Agreement.

 
Q:Are the CAAC-issued licenses valid in other countries?
A:

Yes, but after conversion. Flying in one country needs to meet the aviation regulations of the country, so you must go through an authentication process to apply for the appropriate license on the basis of the CAAC-issued license. For example, you may have to take written and practical test, as well as medical check.
